Our residents recently enjoyed their stop in the Caribbean as part of our ‘Around the World with Nellsar Cruises’ armchair travel experience; Jamaica, the Grenadines, Tobago, St Lucia, Barbados, all in one day!
With sunny skies, the beach and cocktails were calling! And as ever, our Chef’s food has been amazing at capturing the colour and culture of this beautiful part of the world.

Abbotsleigh Care Home residents were delighted to have a choice of BBQ jerk pork chop and coconut rice with beans, grilled vegetables and corn or pineapple jerk chicken and veggie skewers served with mango salad and vegetables.
The Bromley Park Care Home kitchen team served testy jerk chicken with rice and peas and pineapple salsa, followed by delicious ginger loaf and rum cake.
Hengist Field Care Home residents enjoyed jerk chicken, rice, peas and Caribbean stuffed peppers. For dessert, they had a choice of tangy passion fruit mousse or Caribbean rum cake.
The Caribbean Day menu at Princess Christian Care Home featured jerk chicken with rice or mash and a side of mango chutney and vegetables, or cod fillets with curry sauce. These were followed by scrumptious banana bread and custard.
Chefs at Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home created jerk chicken with mango and avocado salsa, which was accompanied by carrots, aniseed potatoes and fried plantain.
Jerk chicken drumsticks with rice and peas were on the Caribbean menu at Woodstock Residential Care Home, which went down a treat with their residents.
