Nellsar Care Homes Easter Food Feature

Easter celebrations among our Nellsar Care Homes means lots of yummy food and sweet treats. Our Chefs enjoy preparing delicious meals and indulgent desserts. Take a look at a few of the delightful creations to come out of our Kitchens this Easter.

Katja, Nourishment and Social Wellness Coordinator at Lulworth House Residential Care Home baked some brightly coloured, egg-shaped, iced shortbread biscuits with her residents during an Easter Baking Club. And take a look at her beautiful caked baked for her residents’ Easter Party.

 

Chef Leigh at Meyer House Care Home created the first Simnel cake of the Easter season which started a trend among our Chef teams. And her blueberry and blackberry bundt cake is perfection!

 

Rated ‘Outstanding’ by CQC, Princess Christian Care Home have an exceptional team of Catering staff, lead by Head Chef Cosmin, and they all worked together to create some scrumptious dishes over the Easter period.

Top of the menu over the Easter weekend was hot cross buns and hot chocolate. Residents at the Home also enjoyed savoury dishes of vegetarian quiche with new potatoes, coleslaw and peas, chicken Tikka Masala, and roast lamb with all the trimmings.

 

 

Head Chef Cosmin always makes exceptional birthday cakes for Princess Christian residents on their big day, and they celebrated two birthdays this Easter.

 

Head Chef Andrew at St Winifreds Care Home creates stunning food for his residents and over Easter they enjoyed a Roast Lamb lunch fit for royalty, followed by a salted caramel cake with mini chocolate eggs.

 

Chef Mandy at Lukestone Care Home baked some egg-sellent cakes for her residents this Easter, including a chocolate mini-eggs cake with butter icing and sprinkles, and a Simnel cake.
